 Dear Friends,

 Greeting in the Matchless Name of Jesus!  We are excited to announce that we will be in celebration services Honoring Rev. Reggie. L. Hall Sr. for his 7th Pastoral Anniversary. 

 On this year we will be lifting up the theme: “Leading the Way: Equipping the Saints”Ephesians 4:11:12:He is the one who gave these gifts to the church: the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, and the pastors and teachers. Their responsibility is to equip God's people to do his work and build up the church, the body of Christ.”

We enjoyed ourselves with good food and good fun.  We played a social ice-breaking game that not only allowed us to get to know more about each other, but also willingly accept the assignment to pray for each other.

The guest speaker was Deacon Brenda Woods of The Cathedral International in Perth Amboy, NJ where Bishop Donald Hilliard, Jr. is the Senior Pastor.  Sister Woods truly blessed us with insight on what it means to be a Deaconess in the world today.

She spoke about how the world needs more than just words.  The world needs to see what we are about.  This "walk of new life" is about being dedicated, committed, and displaying a walk of love.  We must have a mind to want to serve, not just in the house of the Lord but beyond those four walls and into the world.

Deacon Woods went on to say that God is looking for obedience.  He has given us power and He wants us to use that power more than before.  We are a unified weapon against the enemy and we cannot be stopped.  There is nothing we can't do as a unit.  There is strength in numbers and through our light we have the power to ovecome.

Hearing this word truly uplifted our spirits and provided encouragement to all that were in attendance.  It was a wonderful time.

The Deaconess Ministry would like to give special thanks to two of our young ladies from the Youth Ministry, Sis. Jasmine Folk and Minister-Elect Tiara Mann, who served as our hostesses for the afternoon.  Sis. Mann also ministered to us in song.
